The world’s largest wind turbine generators have finished installing and started generating power off the Liverpool coast, England.
It comprises 32 of the gargantuan new wind turbine generators. Each one is fitted with three 80-meter-long blades, which is longer than nine London buses. Standing 195 meters tall, which is taller than the Gherkin skyscraper, are the tallest wind turbines in commercial use in the world.
Each turbine is 8 MW of power, for a grand total of 258 MW from the entire installation.
According to the DONG Energy, which led the project, a single revolution of the blades on one turbine can power a home for 29 hours.
Those world’s biggest and most powerful wind turbine generators cementing Britain’s position as global leader in wind technology.
